VOICE Project at the New European Bauhaus Festival 2026

RISE, responsible for communication and outreach activities within the Horizon Europe project VOICE, is supporting the organization of the event “The Power of Artist-Led Interventions for a Sustainable Europe”. The event will take place on 10 June 2026 in Brussels, and is part of the official NEB Festival 2026 Satellite Events. The event will gather policymakers, artists, researchers, and community representatives to explore how creative, community-focused approaches can contribute to addressing environmental challenges and shaping European policy priorities.

From community initiatives to European policymaking

During the past two years, the VOICE project has supported 20 Art–Technology–Society Interaction (ATSI) initiatives across Europe. These initiatives have collaborated closely with local communities to tackle issues such as biodiversity loss, water management, soil health, and air quality. Their experiences and outcomes will be transformed into policy-oriented recommendations, demonstrating how artist-led and place-based practices can support more inclusive and responsive policymaking at the European level.

As a Satellite Event of the NEB Festival, the event contributes to wider European discussions on sustainability, inclusion, and aesthetics. Organised by the European Commission, the Festival brings together stakeholders from different sectors to exchange ideas and present innovative approaches for building sustainable futures.
