FORCE REPAIR 7th Progress Meeting Hosted by RISE in Zagreb
Last week, RISE hosted the 7th Progress Meeting of the FORCE REPAIR consortium in Zagreb, bringing partners together to review progress and agree on next steps.
The project addresses a persistent challenge in healthcare: chronic wounds remain difficult to treat, with existing therapies often falling short in supporting reliable skin regeneration. In response, the consortium is developing a smart, multifunctional 3D-printed wound dressing designed to tackle infection, inflammation, and tissue regeneration in an integrated way.
As a collaborative research and innovation effort, progress depends on regular coordination between partners working across different domains. The meeting in Zagreb focused on taking stock of current work and aligning the next phase.
The meeting opened with remarks from Ema Cerimagic, Managing Director at RISE, followed by the project coordinator, Dr Damien Dupin (CIDETEC). Updates across all Work Packages gave partners the opportunity to compare ongoing work, discuss experimental findings, and ensure consistency in implementation. Iva Baršić (RISE) presented the overall progress of the project, including communication and dissemination activities, focusing on how these outputs are being shared with relevant audiences.
The second day included a periodic project review with external reviewers, confirming that the work is on track. Positive feedback provided additional confidence as activities move into the next stage.
Within the consortium, RISE leads project management as well as communication, dissemination and exploitation activities, ensuring coordinated implementation across partners from clinical, research, and industrial backgrounds. This role is key to keeping work aligned while supporting the visibility and uptake of results across different stakeholder groups.
