Building a Connected RWE Ecosystem: RISE at the MetReal Multistakeholder Workshop

2–3 March 2026 | Copenhagen

Last week, RISE contributed to the MetReal Cluster Multistakeholder Workshop organised by the REDDIE project and hosted by the Danish Medicines Agency in Copenhagen, bringing together the MetReal Cluster projects, regulators, HTA bodies, industry representatives and other stakeholders to advance real-world evidence (RWE) in Europe. As a partner in both REDDIE and REALM, RISE supports coordination, project management, and communication, dissemination and exploitation activities across initiatives. The meeting provided an important platform to translate strategic discussions on RWE into concrete implementation pathways. The agenda reflected this dual focus on innovation and application. Discussions ranged from methodological approaches within REDDIE to broader reflections on regulatory and HTA use of RWE, including medicines and medical devices. The second day further addressed practical data reuse pathways and future priorities for EU-funded RWE projects, encouraging participants to move from evidence generation toward structured, scalable implementation. Throughout the discussions, a clear message emerged: while Europe benefits from a growing number of RWE initiatives, stronger integration, shared standards, and improved cross-project communication are essential to translate innovation into sustainable impact. In this context, RISE, together with its sister company - EURICE, contributes as a connecting partner, linking projects, stakeholders and initiatives through its widespread European network and fostering synergies that extend beyond individual consortia. Mirna Vela participated as Project Manager of REDDIE, contributing to strategic coordination and stakeholder dialogue. Valentina Guštin attended as Communication Manager for both REDDIE and REALM, supporting alignment in dissemination and ensuring coherent messaging across the MetReal Cluster. Cora joined the meeting as Portfolio Manager for the Health Cluster within EURICE, reinforcing the broader strategic perspective and strengthening connections across the health innovation portfolio. By connecting project management, communication and portfolio-level coordination, RISE continues to strengthen collaboration within the MetReal Cluster and beyond, helping to build a more coherent and implementation-driven European RWE landscape.
